Progressive rock, often shortened to Prog Rock, is a form of rock music that evolved principally from psychedelic rock, as a result of experimentation with electronic instruments, jazz-rock fusion and classical music. Modern examples of the genre include Genesis, Fish, Marillion and Mostly Autumn.
